Dear Lance,

I miss your original hairstyle..

Lance at 12 Months

I loved it.. and I never wanted to cut it!

But at some point, I had to.. because your hair was already tickling your ears.. you kept scratching :(

Then I thought.. maybe it was time for Mommy to discover her talent in baby hairstyling..

Which apparently, never existed :)

Sweetheart.. I'm sorry your first haircut didn't come out the way I envisioned it to be..

But you should know that I secretly loved it crooked and funny.. It was so cute to me!

2 months after.. 

You're back sitting on your high chair at the balcony..

And Mommy is still doing her on-the-job training as your hairstylist.

Well.. it seems like you'd have to bear with me and your haircuts a little longer, Lance..

Because I am enjoying this.. and I'm not ready to hand you over to the experts! :)

Don't worry.. funny or perfect hairstyle..

You are still as adorable.. and I am still as crazy over you!

You just turned a year old.. and Mommy is scared..

I am scared because time has been flying by so fast..

You are going to be a toddler soon.. and I am not ready to let go of my baby..

Do you know that my phone constantly alerts memory full.. and daddy keeps asking me why I don't delete your old pictures and videos even though they have already been backed up?

It is because whenever you are sleeping, I watch them over and over again..

I cannot get enough of you, Lance.. and I could only hold on to the memories you have given me..

Before I tell you about your actual birthday.. Party..

I want you to know that a month ago.. When you were only 11 months old..

We celebrated your birthday in advance.. In Manila.

Ninang Sarah, Ninang Maricar, Ninang Cecile, Ninong Mike, Ninong Waltham, Ninong Red, Ninong Ken
(Ninang Bea, Ninang Niña, and Ninong Oliver were not in Manila, but sent their love to you)

It was a month early..

But it was the only chance we had to have you blessed by your Godparents..

And to introduce you to some of daddy and mommy's friends and relatives :)

And although you were sick and not feeling well at that time.. 

You knew it was your party and still enjoyed it!
